World Vision
Strategic Planning and Leadership

Strengthening strategic clarity and leadership capability across five diverse global regions.

Strategic outcome sought

World Vision engaged RDL to strengthen strategic clarity and lift leadership capability across five countries, from Senegal in West Africa through to multiple Pacific Island nations. The goal was to align diverse leadership groups around a shared direction, improve decision making, and elevate collaboration and accountability across regions with different operating realities.

Our process

RDL began by working directly with senior leaders in each country to understand their strategic context, operating pressures, and long term ambitions. Through facilitated strategic planning sessions, leadership diagnostics, and bespoke development pathways, we helped each team identify where they were today, what shifts were required, and how to build the capability to get there.

Cultural nuance was central to success. In Senegal, a relational and community-focused lens was required. In the Pacific, the emphasis was on collective decision making, hierarchical respect, and cultural influence. RDL adapted content, language, coaching style, and facilitation protocols in every region, ensuring leaders felt seen, understood, and supported.

Creating legacies

The partnership reinforced one of RDL’s core principles. Leadership transformation travels through people, not geography. As leaders across regions built clarity, capability, and confidence, they became catalysts for change in their own environments.

The work shifted how leaders thought, communicated, and made decisions. It deepened collaboration across borders and strengthened alignment between World Vision’s global expectations and local community priorities.

The result

Across all five locations, leaders emerged with greater strategic clarity, stronger communication discipline, and the capability to address long standing performance gaps. Teams reported improved alignment, deeper partnering behaviours, and a renewed sense of purpose in their mission to serve communities.

The engagement demonstrated that with the right guidance, leaders in any context can elevate capability, shift culture, and embed lasting impact. RDL’s adaptive approach positioned World Vision leaders to drive transformation long after the program concluded.
